PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joaquin Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seamus O Toole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Toole throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hansen's waist but Hansen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing O Toole off to one side.
O Toole shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hansen as he avoids it easily.
Horrible takedown by O Toole or perhaps it was just good defense by Hansen which made him look bad.
Joaquin Hansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seamus O Toole.
O Toole walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
O Toole manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hansen manages to get himself to full guard.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! O Toole crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hansen - the referee stops the clock and O Toole gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hansen. O Toole manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joaquin Hansen.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hansen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
