Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vasily Tymoshenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tymoshenko 's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hearts On Fire. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vasily Tymoshenko !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Vega!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Tymoshenko misses.
Tymoshenko swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Vega cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Vega keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Vasily Tymoshenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tymoshenko connects with a leg kick. Vega looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Vega takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Tymoshenko is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Vega's half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vega makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Vega.
Tymoshenko is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Vega bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tymoshenko 's guard.


Tymoshenko is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vega is aware though and is defending well.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Tymoshenko dips to his left and cracks Vega with an uppercut!

Tymoshenko closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vega to the mat! Vega manages to get full guard.
Vega wants to sweep here but Tymoshenko controlling him for the moment.

Tymoshenko is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vega can do to turn this around?

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tymoshenko accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Tymoshenko takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Vega is holding his hands too far apart here. Tymoshenko throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Vega is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!

A less than humble Vasily Tymoshenko misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
