Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Begbie Franco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Wilkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franco comes to the cage accompanied by Born Slippy. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
38 - 22 - 1, fighting out of London, Begbie Franco! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
29 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andy Wilkins! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilkins blocks a head kick by Franco.
Wilkins drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Franco defends it well. Franco throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Wilkins closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wilkins lands in his opponent's guard. Franco can't keep his opponent in guard - Wilkins advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Wilkins wants to control but Franco is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilkins is stalling here. Franco is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Wilkins seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Franco has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Wilkins looks to move to half guard but instead Franco has passed into mount! Damn!

Wilkins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Franco swivels though and keeps the full guard. Franco not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Franco wants to stand and escape but instead Wilkins has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Wilkins passes Franco's left leg - he's now in half guard. Franco trying to hold on to Wilkins's head to control him but Wilkins postures up.
Wilkins is trying to control the action in half guard but Franco is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wilkins prevents Franco from improving his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Begbie Franco will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Franco throws a sloppy head kick and Wilkins moves out of range easily. Wilkins scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Wilkins is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Franco knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Wilkins content to control rather than advance. Wilkins is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Franco is looking for a sweep. Wilkins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Franco throws a leg kick but Wilkins sees it coming and checks it nicely. Wilkins drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Franco defends it well. Wilkins shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Franco is trying to defend but Wilkins finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Wilkins looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Wilkins prevents Franco from improving his position. Andy Wilkins has got the better of the ground game so far. Franco is doing well to control the position and prevent Wilkins from advancing to side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilkins stalling away here and it's allowed Franco to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Wilkins looking to sit in guard and control but Franco gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Wilkins is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Franco is aware though and is defending well. Franco decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Wilkins, up you get! Wilkins misses with a takedown attempt and Franco counters with a nice uppercut. Wilkins avoids the head kick by Franco.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A momentary lapse in concentration from Franco enables Wilkins to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Franco manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Franco pushes Wilkins off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wilkins fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Franco slaps away a takedown attempt from Wilkins, before circling back to the center of the mat. Begbie Franco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Franco manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Wilkins staying out of range there. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Wilkins fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Franco avoids it really well and circles away. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Franco lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Franco thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Wilkins to his feet! Wilkins is in big trouble! Begbie Franco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andy Wilkins. Franco walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Wilkins drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Franco swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Wilkins's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
