Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frederic Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otta Lakey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frederic Bean! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Otta Lakey! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lakey cracks Bean with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
It looks like Frederic Bean has been cut. Lakey clinches. Lakey drags the fight down to the ground.
Lakey wants to sweep here but Bean controlling him for the moment. Lakey looking to control.
Lakey looking for subs off his back but Bean has passed one foot through into half guard.
Lakey tries to roll over but Bean keeps him under control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bean working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lakey is trying to maintain the position but Bean is very close to passing his half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lakey can do anything to dispel that myth. Bean looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lakey tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Bean is taking a breather. Lakey says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Bean blocks the strikes from Lakey.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lakey is trying to control but Bean passes into side control!
Lakey struggling a bit here. Lakey tries to improve position but can't. A control attempt from Lakey but he's now mounted! Bean looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Bean manages to capitalize on a mistake by Lakey to take his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lakey defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Bean's arms. Bean has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Lakey has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Bean working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Lakey is trying to get back to his feet but Bean has full control of the position and if anything, Lakey has just worked his way into a worse spot. You can see the frustration on Lakey's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bean has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Lakey is really stuck here.
Bean has good solid back control here. Lakey is trying to break free.
Lakey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bean. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lakey trying to control the action but Bean just sinks the hooks in. Bean has the hooks in. Lakey is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frederic Bean dominated that round. The cut man is working on Frederic Bean's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Lakey tries to clinch there but Bean circles away.
Lakey tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lakey fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bean, pushing him back against the cage. Bean really is a fat lump. Bean has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lakey after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frederic Bean. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bean tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Lakey prevents the takedown attempt.
Bean tries to pull guard but Lakey forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Lakey gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lakey slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bean keeping moving, preventing Lakey from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lakey with a flurry of punches that miss. Lakey throws a sloppy strike and Bean has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Lakey is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Bean!
