Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Deshawn Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krhu Jako (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Deshawn Shaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Krhu Jako! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jako ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Jako looks to score with a jab to the body but Shaw is just out of range. Jako looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jako gets tackled into the cage by Shaw. Shaw maintains the clinch. Shaw pulls guard effortlessly. Shaw throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Shaw bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jako's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jako looking for a sweep. Not yet Jako, not yet. Jako is working an open guard so Shaw takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Jako darts in looking for a takedown but Shaw gets double underhooks and turns Jako into the cage. A momentary lapse in concentration from Jako enables Shaw to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jako manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Shaw gets to his feet - Jako follows without any prompting. Jako fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Deshawn Shaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krhu Jako. Shaw scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Shaw controlling the position from side mount. Shaw has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shaw sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Shaw content just to control the position here. Shaw looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. A nice elbow there by Shaw.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shaw putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Jako wants to try and get back to his feet. Shaw landing strikes from the mount and Jako is in trouble! Shaw controlling his opponent. Shaw working Jako over with strikes here. Shaw controlling from the full mount. Jako really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shaw. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jako is wriggling around trying to escape.
Jako looks winded! Shaw looking for a guillotine from mount but Jako is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Deshawn Shaw dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Jako shoots in and drives through. Shaw sprawls well. Shaw is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Jako. Jako fails with the takedown and Shaw counters with a thumping low kick. Shaw throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Shaw closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jako's guard. Jako is looking to stand back up but Shaw counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Jako. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jako tries to roll over but Shaw keeps him under control. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Shaw in particular looking to stall. Shaw working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Jako is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw stands up from half guard. Deshawn Shaw is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Shaw scores with a takedown into Jako's guard. Shaw is standing up over Jako. Jako looks to escape but Shaw dives into side control.
Shaw lands a few punches from side control. Shaw advances to full mount. Shaw lands a nice shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shaw controlling the position easily from mount. Shaw prevents Jako from getting the reversal. BOOM! Shaw connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Shaw is landing with some decent strikes but Jako is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jako is trying to escape the mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaw takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Shaw connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Shaw is in the full mount, landing strikes. Shaw raining down hammerfists from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jako wants to control but Shaw is having none of it. Shaw lands a big elbow. Shaw looking to control and managing it successfully. Jako in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Shaw working Jako over with strikes here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Deshawn Shaw dominated that second round. That's time! Shaw's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Shaw closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jako did well to prevent Shaw getting side control. Shaw is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jako is just riding it out for now. Shaw eventually gives up the hold. Shaw decides to stand up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jako shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shaw pinned against the cage. Shaw gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Shaw stalks Jako and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jako's face. Jako staggers backwards, shaken.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jako moves in looking to clinch but Shaw pushes him off. Jako closes the distance looking to clinch and Shaw counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Jako takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jako gets caught napping as Shaw dives in and scores a takedown. Jako manages to retain guard. Shaw seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Jako keeping full guard, as Shaw tries to pass. Deshawn Shaw overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jako will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shaw slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Shaw working some strikes from top position. Shaw advances position into side control! Jako trying to remain calm as Shaw controls from the top position. Shaw stands up and beckons Jako to his feet. Jako tries to clinch and Shaw counters with a three punch combo that has Jako backing up. Jako nods at Shaw to acknowledge the strikes. Deshawn Shaw is winning the standup battle so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jako tries to clinch up but Shaw circles away and keeps his distance. Shaw seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Shaw looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Jako! Jako is looking for a sweep. Jako is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Shaw's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Jako has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Shaw is on him like a limpet, forcing Jako back against the cage. Jako looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Shaw gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jako trying to control but Shaw postures up.
Shaw decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Shaw throws a sloppy head kick and Jako moves out of range easily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jako doesn't manage to clinch there - Shaw circles away.
Jako shoots in and drives through. Shaw sprawls well. Shaw looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Jako fails in his attempt to clinch. Shaw swats away the attempt to clinch by Jako. Shaw tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Jako manages to circle out of the way. Jako scores with a jab. Shaw acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Deshawn Shaw showed his dominance in that final round. Well Shaw has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
