Royale has chosen Empire X by Dubtraction as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGimly looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Royale is fending him off so far but McGimly persists. Nope, Royale circles away and we're back to standing.
McGimly shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Royale pinned against the cage. Royale gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
McGimly fails with an attempt to clinch.
McGimly is looking to clinch but Royale is avoiding it.
McGimly throws a head kick but Royale moves out of range.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
McGimly misses with a hook to the ribs.
Royale has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed McGimly clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
McGimly tries to escape but Royale has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Royale is trying to stick to McGimly's back but McGimly is turning into Royale. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Royale's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by McGimly.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Royale can do anything to dispel that myth.
