Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcelino Case! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Teddy Bremner! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Case misses with a takedown attempt - Bremner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bremner misses with a low kick as Case jumps back. Case appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Bremner shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Case has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bremner is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Case. Bremner decides to stand back up. Bremner steps back and let's Case get back to his feet. Bremner darts in and clinches Case up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bremner using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Case has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Bremner has hold of one of Case's legs. Case is fighting the takedown attempt but Bremner gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Case manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Case prevents Bremner from breaking the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bremner has hold of one of Case's legs. Case is fighting the takedown attempt but Bremner gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Case pushes Bremner off and gets back to his feet.
Bremner feints and as Case raises his hands in defense, Bremner changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bremner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Case is keeping the position for now. Case is working an open guard so Bremner takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Case doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bremner counters with a nice body kick.
Bremner throws a series of strikes that have Case backpedaling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Case shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bremner but Bremner pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bremner steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcelino Case. That's going to take a lot out of him. Case has his takedown stuffed and Bremner counters with a straight right hand. Bremner drives through with a takedown into guard. Bremner controls from within his opponent's guard. Bremner stands and steps away. Case gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Bremner shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Case manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Case tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bremner controls from within his opponent's guard. Bremner trying to control the position from guard on top but Case is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bremner preventing the sweep. Case has Bremner pulled in close to control his posture. Bremner tries to free his leg and advance position but Case is retaining full guard. Case seems keen to control Bremner's posture. Case really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bremner controls from within his opponent's guard. Case wants to sweep here but Bremner controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Case trying to keep a closed guard but Bremner is proving a slippery customer.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Bremner wants to pass the guard but Case is keeping the position. Case wants to sweep here but Bremner controlling him for the moment. Case will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bremner trying to control but Case is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Bremner needs to keep his hands up - Case had a free shot at his head there. Bremner misses with an uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Teddy Bremner dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Case just leaning against Bremner, taking a breather. Case goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bremner prevents it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Case decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bremner, up you get! Bremner dives in and scores a takedown into Case's guard. Case is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Case is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bremner is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Case wants to improve his position but instead Bremner has moved into half guard.
Bremner is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Bremner is trying to work for a kimura but Case is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bremner is keen to just control but Case is a slippery customer. Case is looking for a sweep. Bremner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Case wants to control the action here but instead Bremner manages to pass to full mount! Bremner controlling from the full mount. Bremner prevents Case from getting the reversal. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bremner landing strikes from the mount and Case is in trouble!
Case is rocked!
It looks like Marcelino Case has been cut. Bremner has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Case wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Oh Case is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Bremner is hanging on to Case's back as he tries to escape.
Bremner is cranking Case's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Case! He's tightened the choke and Case is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Teddy Bremner!
