Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bryan Manibusan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Julio El Toro! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Darius Henderson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! El Toro darts in looking for a takedown but Manibusan gets double underhooks and turns El Toro into the cage. Manibusan is looking to counter the offense by El Toro and move into the clinch. El Toro throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Manibusan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. El Toro is in Manibusan's guard. Manibusan definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. El Toro wants to control from the top but Manibusan keeps moving. El Toro is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Manibusan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Manibusan has escaped and now he's on top! Manibusan is looking to work some ground and pound but El Toro has wrist control. Manibusan has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing El Toro to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Manibusan is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - El Toro pulls down on the head and he's put Manibusan to sleep! This one is all over!
