Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trents Tyson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Tyson which made him look bad.
Tyson closes the distance and clinches.

Smith gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Tyson.
Tyson manages to pull guard.
Tyson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Smith feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Smith shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Smith was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Tyson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Smith's corner calls for a 1-2. Smith obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Smith uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tyson.
Tyson throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease.
Tyson closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Tyson pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tyson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Smith momentarily.
Tyson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Tyson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Tyson tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tyson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Smith shoots in for a double leg but Tyson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Trents Tyson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Smith connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tyson. Tyson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but Tyson shows good takedown defense.
Trents Tyson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Terry Smith.
Smith tries to bum rush Tyson with a series of wild strikes but Tyson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tyson's waist but Tyson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side.
Smith bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Tyson wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Tyson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Terry Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tyson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Tyson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Smith shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Smith was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Smith is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tyson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Terry Smith has got the better of the ground game so far.
Smith cracks Tyson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Smith lands a heavy elbow.
Smith takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
