Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rico Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rico Cole has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Rico Cole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Doe! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doe jabs Cole right on the nose. Cole blinks but takes it well. Cole has been working on his boxing with his coaches at ~T~ Troid - Gym in the buildup to the fight. Cole lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Cole throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Doe stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Doe swings for the body but Cole moves out of range.
Cole half committed to a counter leg kick. Some bone on bone action there as Cole checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Doe rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cole counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Doe thinking. Cole chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Doe closes the distance and pushes Cole back into the cage. Cole lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Doe or not. Doe tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Doe misses with a body punch.
Cole lands a hook that snaps the head of Doe backwards. Cole tries to throw a body punch but Doe avoids it by throwing Cole back against the cage. Doe misses with a punch on the inside.
Doe struggles to land a body shot inside as Cole controls his hands.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cole escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A telegraphed right hand from Doe misses the target. Cole appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Doe throws a big shot that misses. Doe misses with a straight left. Cole lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cole throws a front kick that sends Doe stumbling back into the cage. Nice shot lands for Cole. A shot to the body from Doe misses and Cole makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Doe ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Doe throws a lazy right hand but Cole sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Cole. Doe shrugs it off though. Doe throws a looping overhand right but Cole ducks down to avoid it. Doe takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Doe will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Doe is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Doe moves to clinch but Cole breaks away and Cole counters with a lovely straight right hand! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cole. A looping hook to the body misses from Cole. Doe does a little dance to reset his feet. Cole lands a nice hook to Doe's body. Doe takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Doe moves into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doe misses with the head strike.
Cole taking a breather. A head punch blocked on the inside by Cole. Cole escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cole throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cole throws a leg kick but Doe sees it coming and moves out of range. Cole swings away with a body shot that misses
enabling Doe to counter with a crisp jab. Cole looks to score with a jab to the body but Doe is just out of range. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cole, as that shot connected.
Doe thows a leg kick but Cole checks it and Doe takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Cole misses with an attempted mid kick.
Cole lands a nice shot to the body.
Doe throws a leg kick but Cole moved away. Cole throws a quick counter kick to the body but Doe avoids it. Doe throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Cole counters with a nice leg kick. A big left from Doe misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doe throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Doe rushes Cole and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Cole stalling in the clinch.
Cole's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. John Doe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Doe tries to clinch but Cole moves away and Cole counters with a nice body kick. Doe tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cole manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nice defenses there by Cole. Cole jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Cole, right into the meat.
Doe misses with a combination
and Cole counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Doe takes a swing at Cole's ribcage but misses. Cole throws a nice outside leg kick. Doe moves out of range of the body kick from Cole.
Doe throws an off balance right hand
and Cole counters with a body kick. Doe is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cole.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doe swings and misses with a shot to the body and Cole counters with a slapping leg kick. Doe misses with a right hand and Cole counters with a nice body shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cole throws a series of strikes that have Doe backpedaling.
Doe bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Cole connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Doe looks for the body kick but Cole saw that one coming. Cole lands a nice hook to Doe's body. Doe takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Cole ducks under a wild hook from Doe. Doe on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Cole swinging wildly here.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Doe lands a right hook to the body.
Cole connects with a jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rico Cole dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Doe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cole.
The fighters circling - Doe throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Doe throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Cole went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Doe takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Cole takes a shot right to the bread basket. Cole lands a nice looking body kick. Cole moves forwards but Doe connects with a nice, crisp jab. A solid body kick from Cole. Nice shot lands for Cole. Doe takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cole throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cole scores with a decent looking hook. Cole scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Doe doesn't seem bothered though. Doe digs a good hook to Cole's body.
Cole fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Doe has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cole buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Doe throws a leg kick but Cole sees it coming and checks it nicely. Cole scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Doe has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Cole. Doe misses with an uppercut
and Cole counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Cole tests Doe's chin there with a solid looking shot. Cole throws a half hearted mid kick. Cole is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Cole blocks a low kick nicely. Cole was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Cole bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Cole gets off balance looking for a body kick and Doe counters with a straight right hand. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Doe in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Cole displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Doe throws out the jab. Cole seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Doe tests Cole's chin there with a solid looking shot. Cole uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Doe. Cole throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Doe wants to counter the offense by Cole and move into the clinch position. A low kick from Doe misses letting Cole counter with a right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cole cracks Doe with an open hand slap. Cole connects with a single shot there. Cole misses with the combination.
Cole throws a half hearted mid kick. A left and a right from Cole both land. Nice combination. Cole is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Doe can do to turn this around? Cole slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Cole moves away from the strike by Doe. Cole throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Doe on the side of the head. Cole cracks the inside of Doe's front leg. Doe has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Doe looks to throw the jab but Cole is out of range. Doe takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Doe is looking to clinch but Cole is avoiding it.
Cole appears to be looking for a big counter. Doe takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cole throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Doe tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cole was well out of range. Poor timing from Doe. Doe wants to slow Cole down by chopping away at his legs. Cole lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Doe circles away quickly and effectively. Cole throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Doe throws a shot from downtown. Cole moves away and avoids it. Doe misses with a hook. Cole misses with a two punch combination.

Cole keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Doe. Cole throws a big counter combination but Doe scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Cole moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Doe throws the kick towards the body but Cole avoids it. A little feinted left hand from Cole on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. A solid leg kick lands there for Cole.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doe misses with a looping right. Cole tried to counter with a leg kick but Doe avoided it. Danga de danga de dang - Cole scores with a four punch combination! Doe bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice defenses there by Doe. It seemed like Doe was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Doe throws a sloppy body shot
and Cole counters with a straight right hand. Cole misses with a right hand The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. and Doe counters with a lovely straight right hand! Cole keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Rico Cole dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Cole throws a leg kick that misses. Cole slips a straight right by Doe. Cole feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Doe's calf. Doe just misses with a punch to the body.
Cole appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Doe takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Doe throws an off balance right hand
enabling Cole to counter with a crisp jab. Cole lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Doe is still on wobbly legs! Can Cole finish him? Cole swats away the attempt to clinch by Doe. Doe seems to have recovered his senses. Cole throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Rico Cole is winning the standup battle so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Doe scores with a decent looking hook. A clash of legs there as Cole blocks the low kick. Doe dips to his left and cracks Cole with an uppercut! Doe takes a head kick and keeps coming.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Doe lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cole has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cole and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Cole counters with a right hand to the body. Doe throws an overhand right that lands on Cole's shoulder, as Cole tries to avoid the shot. Doe ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cole moves away. Cole does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Jab by Cole. Cole tries to land a front kick but Doe steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Cole lands a front kick. Doe misses with a straight right. Cole fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Cole ducks under a wild hook from Doe. Cole lands a right hook to the body.

Cole appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Doe misses with a hook
and Cole counters with a three punch combo that has Doe backing up. Doe nods at Cole to acknowledge the strikes. Cole throws a nice inside leg kick. Cole swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Doe now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Doe looks to land a right hand but Cole moved out of range. It looked like Cole was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. A leg kick checked by Cole. Doe smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and Cole counters with a series of strikes. Doe will be more careful next time no doubt. Doe takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Cole throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Cole lands with a nice body kick. Doe misses with a lunging right hand
and Cole counters with a nice body kick. Cole takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Doe missing with a left hand there. Cole was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Doe's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Cole cracks Doe with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Cole lands with a kick to the ribs.

and Cole counters with a two punch combo. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Doe throws a sloppy body shot
and Cole counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Cole scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cole fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Doe. Cole throws a leg kick which misses Doe's front leg but catches the back leg as Doe tries to avoid it. The fighters circle, before Cole throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Doe's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Cole lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Rico Cole!
