Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tuan Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Rojas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rojas has chosen Vida de un Mafioso - Mexican Fusca as his entrance music. Rafael Rojas acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tuan Compton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rafael Rojas! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Compton closes the distance and pushes Rojas back into the cage. Rojas has hold of one of Compton's legs. Compton is fighting the takedown attempt but Rojas gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Compton can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rojas controls the pace. Rojas working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Rojas postures up in Compton's guard and throws a big left but Compton blocks it. Rojas with a nice head shot there. Rojas postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Rojas loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Compton avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rojas wants to control from the top but Compton keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rojas with a flurry of punches that miss. Compton keeping full guard, as Rojas tries to pass. Compton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Rojas throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rojas throws a big elbow that misses. Rojas throws a big elbow that misses. Compton is breathing heavily. Rojas is stalling in the full guard. It looks like Rojas might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Compton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rojas trying to control but Compton is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rojas throws a big elbow that misses. Rojas landing with the ground and pound. Rojas wants to control from the top but Compton keeps moving. Rojas is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Rojas trying to control but Compton is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rojas rushes Compton and presses him up against the cage. Compton tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Compton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rojas moves into range and connects with a jab. Rojas shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rojas was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Rojas lands a decent elbow from side control.
Compton is rocked! Rojas is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Compton is trying to escape and Rojas transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Compton is forced to tap! Nice work there by Rojas! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rafael Rojas! Rafael Rojas decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
