Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Tracey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeremy Steele! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dick Tracey! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steele throws a half hearted mid kick. Tracey throws the left hand but Steele avoids the punch easily. Steele shoots in for a double leg but Tracey sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Tracey scores with a nice strike. Dick Tracey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tracey lands with a straight right. Steele didn't see that one coming. Steele throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tracey's waist but Tracey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Steele off to one side. Tracey throws the left hand but Steele avoids the punch easily. Steele slips a jab from Tracey. The fighters circling - Tracey throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Steele throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tracey's waist but Tracey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Steele off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Steele. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steele tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Steele tries to clinch there but Tracey circles away.

Tracey throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tracey has taken the fight to the clinch.
Steele is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. This has been an exciting period of action! Steele tries for a takedown. No joy.

Tracey looks to land a right hand but Steele moved out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tracey shoots in for a takedown but Steele shows good takedown defense. Steele drops his hands momentarily and Tracey takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Tracey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Steele working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tracey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tracey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Steele is breathing heavily. Tracey controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Tracey wants to pass the guard but Steele is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steele tries to land a sweep but no joy. Steele utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Tracey won't allow Steele to sweep him here. Steele wants to get back to his feet but Tracey is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Tracey throws a hook to the side of Steele's head but Steele sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Tracey fails to land with a series of punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steele has Tracey up against the cage in a clinch.
Steele jumps guard but Tracey stands there with Steele around his waist. Steele gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Steele tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tracey smiles and moves away.
Tracey throws a sloppy head kick and Steele makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Tracey really felt that one! Steele shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Steele takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Steele shoots in but no luck this time. Tracey decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Tracey stalling. Tracey prevents Steele from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tracey content to control rather than advance. Tracey passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Steele! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Steele is desperately trying to improve his position but Tracey has a good base and remains in mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dick Tracey dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Steele dips to his left and cracks Tracey with an uppercut! Steele fails with an attempt to clinch.
A punch combination from Tracey misses. Steele wants to clinch and Tracey counters with a single leg into guard. Steele didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Steele wants to sweep here but Tracey controlling him for the moment. Tracey looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Steele is trying to keep Tracey in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tracey gets to his feet - Steele follows without any prompting. Tracey throws the left hand but Steele avoids the punch easily. A slow jab from Tracey misses its intended target. Tracey swings and misses with a shot to the body and Steele counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Tracey swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Steele counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tracey thinking. Tracey is breathing heavily. Nice takedown defense from Tracey. No joy for Steele on that attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tracey tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Steele swivels and escapes. Steele clinches up against the cage. Steele is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tracey pulls him back up using the underhooks. Steele fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Steele. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tracey kicks Steele off and gets to his feet. Steele tries to close the distance and clinch but Tracey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Steele misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Steele showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tracey.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tracey slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Steele. Steele is trying to stand up here but Tracey is controlling him well. Steele wants to control but Tracey is keeping busy.
Tracey is pressing down on Steele's thigh, looking to free his foot. Steele is holding on for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steele is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Steele has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tracey is working away from the top position though. Tracey tries to stand but can't do so whilst Steele controls his leg. Tracey prevents Steele from improving his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dick Tracey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Steele displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tracey throws out the jab. Steele lands a front kick. Steele has his takedown stuffed and Tracey counters with a takedown into side control. Steele is looking for a sweep. Steele manages to work his way to half guard, despite Tracey's best efforts. Steele is looking to get back to is feet but Tracey passes into side control.
You can see the frustration on Steele's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Steele is looking to regain half guard here but Tracey keeps moving and retains side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tracey gets to mount! Steele was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Tracey content just to control the position here. Steele is trying desperately to improve position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Steele is working hard here to advance position. Tracey looking to control and managing it successfully.

Steele tries to hold on but Tracey postures up. Steele is looking to improve his position but Tracey isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tracey sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Steele keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Dick Tracey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Tracey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
