The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burgundy throws a jab when Landry was well out of range.
Landry uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Burgundy.
Landry scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Ron Burgundy has been cut.
Landry lands a lovely overhand right.

Burgundy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Landry unleashes a big counter combination but Burgundy bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Burgundy throws a hook to the side of Landry's head but Landry sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Landry wants to clinch up but Burgundy keeps it at a distance.

Landry is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Burgundy takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Burgundy lands a left and a right that send Landry crashing to the mat, dazed. Burgundy thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

A frustrated look appears on Burgundy's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Landry tries to throw a body punch but Burgundy avoids it by throwing Landry back against the cage.

Landry breaks from the clinch.
Landry checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Landry looks to score with a jab to the body but Burgundy is just out of range.
Landry takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Landry will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Burgundy throws the left hand but Landry avoids the punch easily.
Landry bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Landry was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Burgundy avoids the body shot from Landry.
Burgundy does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Landry throws a low kick but Burgundy avoids it.

Landry moves into the clinch successfully.
Landry lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Burgundy backwards.
Landry blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Burgundy works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Burgundy manages to break the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Burgundy throws a leg kick which misses Landry's front leg but catches the back leg as Landry tries to avoid it.
Burgundy throws a body punch but Landry moves out of range.
Landry throws a counter combo.

Landry tries to close the distance and clinch but Burgundy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Burgundy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Landry takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Burgundy lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Landry throws a sloppy head kick and Burgundy moves out of range easily.

Burgundy cracks Landry with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Landry looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Burgundy finish him?
Landry drops his hands momentarily. Burgundy doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Landry staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Landry doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
