Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shan Tsung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luiz Gamboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shan Tsung! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Luiz Gamboa! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tsung dives in and scores a takedown into Gamboa's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gamboa keeping full guard, as Tsung tries to pass. Tsung sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gamboa's guard. Tsung trying to control from half guard but Gamboa is working away. Tsung looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gamboa is trying to stand up here but Tsung is controlling him well. Tsung controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gamboa wants to get back to his feet.
Tsung is looking to advance position but Gamboa won't allow it. Gamboa tries to kick Tsung off in order to stand up. Tsung Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tsung trying to control the action but Gamboa is working from the bottom. Tsung wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gamboa, who protects the arm well. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Gamboa is trying to buck Tsung off. Gamboa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tsung. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tsung wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gamboa keeps working. Tsung tries for a kimura but Gamboa is defending well. Tsung is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gamboa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Tsung is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gamboa knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tsung trying to control the position but Gamboa is working away. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Gamboa is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Tsung looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Tsung is looking to take a break and control but Gamboa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Tsung is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gamboa is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Gamboa is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tsung trying to control the action but Gamboa is working from the bottom. Gamboa wants to get back to his feet. Tsung thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Gamboa is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

He's almost out here... but no, Tsung gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Tsung is staying tight to Gamboa's torso, preventing him from escaping. Tsung wants to control but Gamboa is keeping him busy. Tsung wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gamboa, who protects the arm well. Gamboa pushes Tsung away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Tsung gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shan Tsung dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Tsung looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Tsung slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Gamboa is looking to stand up but Tsung isn't so interested in that idea. Tsung wants to control from the top but Gamboa keeps moving. Tsung tries to free his leg and advance position but Gamboa is retaining full guard. Gamboa wants to stand and escape but Tsung is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tsung is stalling in the full guard. Gamboa wants to get back to his feet but Tsung is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Tsung passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gamboa is trying to stand up here but Tsung is controlling him well. Gamboa makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Tsung feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Gamboa wants to get back to his feet but Tsung passes into half guard.
Gamboa is not content to let Tsung control the position. Tsung seems to be looking for submissions.
Tsung is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tsung trying to control the position but Gamboa is working away. Gamboa is trying to escape the position but Tsung is controlling the position. Tsung is looking to take a break and control but Gamboa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Gamboa wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

He's worked his way up against the cage but Tsung has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tsung wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gamboa keeps working. Gamboa is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Tsung has just dragged him back down to the mat. Tsung is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gamboa knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Gamboa is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Tsung is controlling him well. Tsung controlling the position. Gamboa is pushing Tsung's head away, looking to escape. Tsung manages to hold on to the position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gamboa is trying to escape the position but Tsung is controlling the position. Gamboa is trying to buck Tsung off. Tsung has an Americana. Gamboa didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Tsung is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Tsung hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
