Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Everett Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Mcmillan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenny Mcmillan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Everett Henderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kenny Mcmillan!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Eddie Farnsworth and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcmillan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Henderson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Henderson went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Kenny Mcmillan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A punch combination from Henderson misses.
A combination from Henderson does no damage.

Mcmillan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Henderson kicks Mcmillan off and gets back to his feet.

Mcmillan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Henderson was covering up waiting for the punch and Mcmillan finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Henderson pushes Mcmillan off and scrambles back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mcmillan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Henderson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Henderson is pushing Mcmillan's head away, looking to escape. Mcmillan manages to hold on to the position though.
Henderson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Mcmillan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Henderson, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Henderson can't do much from the bottom here.

Mcmillan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mcmillan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Henderson is not content to let Mcmillan control the position.
Henderson wants to control but Mcmillan postures up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Henderson has one of Mcmillan's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

Henderson is trying to control Mcmillan's posture but Mcmillan avoids it.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Henderson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mcmillan is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Henderson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mcmillan, pushing him back against the cage.

Mcmillan is looking to control Henderson's arms but Henderson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mcmillan has his back to the cage.

Henderson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mcmillan uses from the top position.
Henderson wants to improve his position but instead Mcmillan has moved into half guard.
Henderson is controlling Mcmillan's trapped leg to prevent Mcmillan from advancing to side control.
Mcmillan is trying to control the action in half guard but Henderson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Mcmillan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Henderson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Henderson holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Henderson wants to control but Mcmillan is keeping busy.

Henderson pushes Mcmillan off and gets back to his feet.

Henderson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mcmillan's guard.
Mcmillan has momentary wrist control but Henderson slips an elbow through the middle.

Mcmillan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Henderson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Henderson cracks Mcmillan with a solid left hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Henderson is in close to Mcmillan's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Henderson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Henderson stands up over Mcmillan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Mcmillan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Henderson parries the strikes from Mcmillan easily there. Mcmillan is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Henderson to escape.

Mcmillan tries to score with some ground and pound. Henderson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Henderson wants to hold on but Mcmillan pushes him away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Henderson is positioning himself well to prevent Mcmillan advancing to mount.
Mcmillan is breathing heavily.
Henderson wants to get back to his feet.

Mcmillan wants to pass the guard but Henderson is defending well.
Henderson wants to improve his position but Mcmillan is controlling well.
Mcmillan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Henderson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Mcmillan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Henderson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fighters are battling for position here. Henderson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Mcmillan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Henderson uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Mcmillan looking to score a takedown here. Henderson is defending well but Mcmillan drives through and ends up in Henderson's guard.

Henderson has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Mcmillan has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Henderson gets control of Mcmillan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Henderson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Everett Henderson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Henderson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Henderson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mcmillan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Henderson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Henderson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Mcmillan looks calm but he's in trouble here. Henderson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Mcmillan is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Henderson lets go of the hold and Mcmillan can pop his arm back in it's socket.
