Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between August Velazquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buckminster Fuller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, August Velazquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Buckminster Fuller! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velazquez gets caught flat footed, as Fuller shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Velazquez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fuller is one step ahead there. Velazquez is pulling down on Fuller's head to control his posture. Velazquez looking to control.
Fuller postures up in Velazquez's guard and throws a big left but Velazquez blocks it. Velazquez controls Fuller momentarily but Fuller frees himself. Fuller looking to pass the guard. Velazquez has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fuller is stalling in the full guard. Velazquez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Velazquez keeping moving, preventing Fuller from controlling successfully. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Velazquez striking off his back but it's not causing Fuller any problems.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Fuller feints and as Velazquez raises his hands in defense, Fuller changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Velazquez kicks Fuller off and gets to his feet. Fuller gets caught flat footed, as Velazquez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Velazquez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Fuller is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Velazquez, into his guard.
Velazquez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fuller wants to stand but Velazquez has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Velazquez managing to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Velazquez keeping moving, preventing Fuller from controlling successfully. Fuller trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Fuller thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fuller makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Fuller trying to control the position from guard on top but Velazquez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Velazquez controls Fuller momentarily but Fuller frees himself. Fuller lands a couple of elbows. Velazquez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Fuller drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Velazquez dives on top into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Velazquez swings around for an armbar but Fuller sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Velazquez's guard. Fuller trying to control but Velazquez is working from the bottom. Velazquez managing to control the position. Fuller trying to control the position from guard on top but Velazquez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fuller pushes down on Velazquez's leg and manages to get into half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Velazquez is concentrating on defense, preventing Fuller from advancing position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Buckminster Fuller dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Fuller looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Velazquez! Velazquez tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Fuller trying to control but he's not successful this time. Velazquez blocking the ground and pound. Velazquez is squirming around, avoiding Fuller's attempts to control the action. Velazquez is desperately trying to improve his position but Fuller has a good base and remains in mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fuller avoids the attempt from Velazquez to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fuller can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Velazquez is looking to escape. Fuller raining down hammerfists from mount.
Velazquez is rocked! A big strike lands for Fuller! That's really hurt Velazquez and he's turned his back - Fuller keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Fuller jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Buckminster Fuller!
