Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Frankie Drake and Donnie Jackson. Drake's entrance music is AC/DC - Hell's Bells. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Jackson darts in and clinches Drake up against the cage.
Jackson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Drake walks away with a smile on his face. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jackson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jackson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Drake looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Drake (0) vs (4) Jackson
Drake's coaches at UHK, Inc. have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Jackson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Drake keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Drake manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Drake wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jackson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Drake doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jackson.
Drake is pressing down on Jackson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Drake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Drake working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Drake is tightening it up a little... Jackson has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Jackson reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Jackson taps out! Nice BJJ there by Drake!
