TWGC 11 (155lbs, D2): Las Vegas Qualifier - Round 1 PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Rick Muse and Tony Boy Cojuangco. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Rick Muse! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Tony Boy Cojuangco! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Cojuangco with a poor takedown and Muse counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Muse manages to pull guard.
Muse seems keen to control Cojuangco's posture. Muse might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Muse working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cojuangco doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Muse is tightening it up a little... Cojuangco has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Cojuangco reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Cojuangco taps out! Nice BJJ there by Muse!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Rick Muse! |
