Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yoshi Twister! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Trey Oshiro! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Twister avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Twister throws a counter high kick but Oshiro was just alert enough to avoid it.
Twister is rocked! Oshiro misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Oh Twister is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Twister lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Twister drops down looking for a counter takedown but Oshiro sprawls and moves away. The fight stays on the outside here - Oshiro looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A counter left hand to the body from Twister misses its target. Sloppy strikes from Oshiro. Those never looked like landing. Trey Oshiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Oshiro fails in his attempt to clinch. Twister went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

and Twister counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Oshiro is lucky that one didn't land flush. Oshiro tries to clinch but Twister is having none of it. Twister shoots in and drives through. Oshiro sprawls well. Oshiro unleashes a big counter combination but Twister bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Twister swats away the attempt to clinch by Oshiro. Oshiro throws a right hand that Twister ducks under and follows up with a left that Twister also avoids with ease. Twister is looking for a counter combo.

A shot to the body from Oshiro misses and Twister counters with a lovely straight right hand! Oshiro throws a head kick that misses. The fight stays on the outside here - Oshiro looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Oshiro is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A little feinted left hand from Twister on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oshiro tries to clinch up but Twister circles away and keeps his distance. Oshiro loads up on a big right hand but Twister slips the punch. Twister is looking to counter with head kicks. Twister avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Oshiro throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Twister to counter with a crisp jab. Oshiro lands a really nice looking cross but Twister seems unphased.
Oshiro tries to clinch up. Twister closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Oshiro is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Twister goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Oshiro has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Twister but great work by Oshiro. Twister is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Oshiro can do to turn this around? Twister is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Oshiro wants to control but Twister is keeping him busy.

Twister manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Oshiro content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Twister is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Oshiro pulls his head out easily. Twister trying to control but Oshiro postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Oshiro tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Twister. Twister regains full guard. Nicely done. Oshiro won't allow Twister to sweep him here. Twister is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Oshiro works his way back into a safe position though. Oshiro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Twister swivels though and keeps the full guard. Oshiro would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Twister wants to sweep but no luck. Twister working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Oshiro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Twister is tightening it up a little... Oshiro has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Oshiro reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Oshiro taps out! Nice BJJ there by Twister!
