Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wily Swagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Method Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swagger comes to the cage accompanied by Waylon Jennings - Good Ol' Boys. Man has chosen Method Man - Meth vs. Chef feat. Raekwon The Chef as his entrance music. Method Man will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swagger fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Man is out of range. Man throws a lazy uppercut
and Swagger counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Swagger. Swagger landing some decent shots from guard. Swagger throwing strikes but missing. Swagger works a leg free and moves into half guard. Swagger trying to mount his opponent but Man defends it. Swagger wants to control but Man is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Man keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Swagger wants to control but Man is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Man keeping hold of Swagger's head, controlling as best he can. Man is continuing to stall. Man is not content to let Swagger control the position. Still in half guard, Swagger seems content to control. Man is looking to improve his position.
Swagger is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Man is just riding it out for now. Swagger eventually gives up the hold. We've been hearing good reports from Swagger's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Swagger wants to take a breather but Man is having none of it. Man wants to control but Swagger is keeping busy and won't allow it. Swagger is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Man lands a hook that snaps the head of Swagger backwards. Man connects with a nasty looking knee right to Swagger's face.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. Man lands with a short head shot on the inside. We've been informed that Man has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Man lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Swagger tightens his grip and picks Man up, before dumping him to the ground. Man manages to land in guard. Swagger throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Man works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Swagger trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Man manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Swagger is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Man is aware though and is defending well. Swagger looking to hit a scissor sweep but Man is one step ahead there. Man sitting in guard here, content to control.

Swagger works his way to full guard. Good work. Man landing with the ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Swagger is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Swagger has his foot on Man's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Man works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Wily Swagger will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Swagger is really struggling to control Man but he's trying to hold on to the position. Swagger not landing any meaningful shots this time. Swagger thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Man's head. Man slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Man trying to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Swagger trying to control the position from guard on top but Man is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Man avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Swagger throws a big right hand that misses. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Swagger throws an elbow that misses. Man uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Swagger's guard. Nice move by Man! Man lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Swagger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Swagger looking to control.
Man preventing the sweep. Man seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Swagger is pulling down on Man's head. It's preventing any offense from Man, at least for the moment.

Man perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Man tries to pass to full mount but Swagger defends it. Swagger makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Swagger. Man showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Swagger looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Swagger has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Man doesn't defend quickly enough and Swagger has managed to lock this one up! Can Man escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Swagger on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Wily Swagger! Wily Swagger retains his middleweight title! Wily Swagger decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. Method Man was interviewed post fight and said 'Patty cake patty cake hey the Method Man
