Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sandy Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kei Izawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sandy Jackson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sandy Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kei Izawa! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Izawa takes the fight into the clinch. Jackson tries to throw a body punch but Izawa avoids it by throwing Jackson back against the cage. Jackson successfully pulls guard.
Jackson trying to keep a closed guard but Izawa is proving a slippery customer.
Jackson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Izawa is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Izawa not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Jackson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Jackson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Izawa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Izawa from controlling successfully. Jackson throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Izawa wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Izawa takes a swing at Jackson's ribcage but misses. Kei Izawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Izawa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Jackson manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Izawa scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Izawa lands with a straight right. Jackson didn't see that one coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Izawa shoots in and drives through. Jackson sprawls well. Izawa is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jackson's half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jackson has his hands clasped together around Izawa's back. He's all about the action. Jackson trying to control here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson missing with punches from the bottom.

Jackson tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Izawa manages to move to mount!
Jackson wants to hold on but Izawa pushes him away. Izawa can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jackson is looking to escape. Izawa controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Izawa lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Izawa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Izawa is landing with some decent strikes but Jackson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Izawa in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Jackson is rocked! Jackson tries to lock up and control but Izawa gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Oh Jackson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Izawa lands a big elbow - Jackson is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Jackson is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Kei Izawa!
