Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between YB Sol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sol might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to SFIV - Theme of Ryu 2. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, YB Sol! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greg Chang! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chang misses with a hook. Sol ducked under it nicely. Sol misses with a double jab.
A head kick misses from Chang. Excellent takedown into side control there by Sol. Chang is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sol trying to control the action but Chang is working from the bottom. Chang is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sol has just dragged him back down to the mat. Chang is letting Sol control him for a moment. Chang is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sol's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chang wants to get back to his feet. Sol is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Chang! Sol looking to finish Chang with some ground and pound. This is bad for Chang! Chang taking shots to the head. Chang is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Sol is trying to stick to Chang's back but Chang is turning into Sol. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Sol's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Chang.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chang wants to get up but he can't break Sol's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Sol is pulling down on Chang's head to control his posture. Chang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sol swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sol is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Chang tries to free his leg and advance position but Sol is retaining full guard. Sol is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A big left from Chang misses. Chang misses the jab. Sol bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Chang's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sol fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sol lands a really nice looking cross but Chang seems unphased.
Chang throws a sloppy head kick and Sol moves out of range easily. Some wild striking there from Chang.
Greg Chang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chang looks gassed! Sol paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Sol moves out of range as Chang strikes. Chang tries to clinch but Sol is having none of it. Sol avoids the head kick by Chang.

Chang takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Chang checks a leg kick. The fight moves into the clinch position. Sol can't get the takedown.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sol is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Chang gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Sol jumps guard and drags Chang to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Sol has control of Chang's left arm, preventing Chang from doing any damage. Sol bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chang's guard. Sol wants to pass the guard but Chang is keeping the position. Chang looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sol trying to control but Chang is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sol looks to score with a jab to the body but Chang is just out of range. Chang darts in trying to clinch and Sol counters with a right hand to the body. A head kick by Chang misses enabling Sol to counter with a crisp jab. Sol with a nice cross. Chang misses the jab. Chang darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Good shot there by Sol. Chang loads up on a big right hand but Sol slips the punch. Sol stalks Chang and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Chang's face. Chang staggers backwards, shaken. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sol drives through with a takedown into guard. Sol controlling from the top position. Chang is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sol trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sol trying to control but Chang is working from the bottom. Chang manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Chang wants to control the pace but Sol is squirming around nicely. Chang goes for an armbar but Sol turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Sol.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sol is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Sol pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chang is keeping the position for now. Sol is working hard here to advance position. Chang manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sol manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Chang trying to control but Sol is working from the bottom. Sol is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Chang wanted to stand there but Sol had control of the position. Sol trying to control the position here. Sol is trying to keep Chang in close.

It looks like YB Sol has been cut. Chang clinches but Sol breaks the clinch and Chang takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Chang tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sol lands with an overhand left. Chang tries to clinch but fails miserably and Sol counters with a nice double leg into side control. Chang won't be happy with that. Sol taking a breather here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Chang takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sol has knee on belly and moves into mount. Sol unloading with bombs!
That's one minute gone in the round. Sol controlling from the full mount. Sol's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee stands the fighters back up. YB Sol just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Nice uppercut lands for Sol. That snapped Chang's head back.
Sol throws a leg kick but Chang checks it. Sol uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Chang. Sol avoids the head kick by Chang.
Chang throws a big shot that misses. Chang tries to clinch but fails miserably and Sol counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A big right from Chang misses. Greg Chang is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Chang pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sol darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Sol scoring with strikes to the body and head. Well, if Sol is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sol not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Sol is controlling the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sol is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Chang reverses the position - he's now on top in Sol's guard. Chang is looking to work some ground and pound but Sol has wrist control. Chang thows a big elbow that misses. Chang is looking to stand up but Sol won't let him.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Sol scores with a jab. Sol uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Chang. YB Sol is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. A cross from Sol lands.
And that's the end of the fight! YB Sol showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sol, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
