Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardinho Gabriel!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gabriel looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bucket is fending him off so far but Gabriel persists. Nope, Bucket circles away and we're back to standing.

Bucket bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Gabriel tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bucket wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bucket closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bucket lands in his opponent's guard.

Bucket decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Bucket's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bucket wants to pass to mount but Gabriel is defending the position.

Gabriel has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bucket is working away from the top position though.

Bucket wants to free his trapped foot but Gabriel is holding on for dear life with his legs.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
