Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Desean Bryant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edvin Rinne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Desean Bryant has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Desean Bryant seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rinne pushes Bryant up against the cage in a clinch.
Our sources have told us that Bryant has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Rinne working Bryant over with knees to the body.
Rinne throws a knee to the head but misses.
Rinne has a couple of punches blocked by Bryant.

Bryant wants to take the fight to the mat but Rinne manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Bryant tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Rinne lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Rinne is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bryant doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rinne.

Rinne is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bryant is just riding it out for now. Rinne eventually gives up the hold.

Bryant is staying active underneath Rinne, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Bryant is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rinne pulls his head out easily.

Rinne drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bryant looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bryant looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bryant!
Rinne sneaks back into half guard.
Bryant looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rinne with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bryant is working for a submission of some sort.
Rinne wants to improve his position but Bryant is controlling well.

Rinne wants to control but Bryant is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Desean Bryant will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Rinne lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Rinne swings away with an uppercut that misses.

A left hand lands to the body for Rinne.
Rinne lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bryant backwards.
Bryant struggles to land a body shot inside as Rinne controls his hands.
Rinne tries to work over Bryant's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Rinne swings wildly with an uppercut but Bryant uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rinne misses with a hook from the clinch.
Rinne lands with a short shot to the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bryant has clasped his hands together around Rinne's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Bryant lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Bryant is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rinne is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Rinne manages to get back to half guard.

Rinne controls Bryant momentarily but Bryant frees himself.
Rinne working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bryant doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bryant manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rinne looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bryant is one step ahead there.
Bryant keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rinne's head.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bryant accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bryant postures up and lands a big shot to Rinne's brow.
Rinne manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bryant manages to get himself to full guard.
Rinne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bryant swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rinne is looking to advance position but Bryant has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Rinne is bucking up trying to escape but Bryant cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Bryant breaks from Rinne's wrist control and lands an elbow.
It looks like Edvin Rinne has been cut.
Bryant lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Rinne hang on?
Rinne is rocked!
Bryant is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rinne can do to turn this around?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
