Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Duke Unken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Halewood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Duke Unken! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Simon Halewood! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Halewood walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like Simon Halewood has been cut. Unken lands a nice shot that snaps Halewood's head back.
Halewood throws a body punch but Unken moves out of range. Unken misses with a straight left. Halewood with the counter takedown but Unken avoids it easily. Halewood pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Unken throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Halewood tumbling to the canvas!
Halewood is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Unken trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Halewood is still in real trouble! Can Unken finish him? Unken throwing strikes from guard but Halewood blocks nicely. Unken stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Halewood swivels though and keeps the full guard. Unken throwing strikes from guard but Halewood blocks nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Halewood looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Unken throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Unken has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Halewood keeping full guard, as Unken tries to pass. Halewood manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Unken manages to get himself to full guard.
Unken is looking for a triangle but Halewood pushes his legs off easily.
Unken escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Halewood gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Unken controlling the position. Halewood seems to have recovered his senses. Halewood sitting in guard here, content to control. Unken looking for a sweep. Not yet Unken, not yet. Halewood is pushing down on Unken's leg trying to pass to half guard. Unken is fighting to maintain full guard but Halewood has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's one minute gone in the round. Unken has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Halewood is working away from the top position though. Halewood keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Unken tries to roll over but Halewood keeps him under control. Halewood blocks the strikes from Unken.
Unken actively working from the bottom here. Halewood seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Halewood wants to take a breather but Unken is having none of it. Halewood tries to pass the half guard into mount. Unken knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Halewood works his way into full mount! Unken flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Unken wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Unken holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Halewood tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Halewood prevents Unken from getting the reversal. Halewood thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Unken is working to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Unken is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Unken is looking to get to half guard. Unken sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Unken wants to sweep but Halewood has passed to side control! Unken tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Duke Unken dominated that round. The cut man is working on Simon Halewood's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Unken moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Unken smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Unken avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Unken throws an overhand right that lands on Halewood's shoulder, as Halewood tries to avoid the shot. Halewood changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Unken tries to avoid it but Halewood manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Unken to the ground. Unken escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Halewood is looking to clinch. Unken throws a monster overhand right that drops Halewood! Unken follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Duke Unken!
