Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Pennington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tristan McPeak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McPeak comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Phoenix kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Tristan McPeak acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Pennington! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tristan McPeak! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McPeak looks for a takedown but Pennington sprawls well. McPeak throws a body kick that misses
and Pennington counters with a takedown into side control. Pennington could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. McPeak sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Pennington lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Pennington wants to work for an arm triangle but McPeak is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Nice strikes from Pennington there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McPeak wants to get back to full guard. Pennington not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. McPeak wants to control but Pennington is keeping busy and won't allow it.
 That's one minute gone in the round. McPeak looks like he's trying to stand up.

McPeak kicks off Pennington and gets to his feet. McPeak fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Pennington is looking to counter with head kicks. Pennington dives in for a single leg takedown but McPeak sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Pennington tries to counter by clinching up but McPeak breaks away and moves out of range. Matt Pennington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tristan McPeak. Pennington goes for a double leg but McPeak avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McPeak continues to drive forward.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. McPeak throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pennington's waist but Pennington gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McPeak off to one side. Pennington fires out a quick counter leg kick but McPeak just manages to avoid it.
McPeak moves into the clinch successfully.
Pennington pulls McPeak into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pennington is looking for a triangle but McPeak pushes his legs off easily.
McPeak is sitting in close to Pennington's body. Pennington has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! McPeak is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, McPeak is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Pennington.
