Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Snuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zane Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snuka kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Superfly by Curtis Mayfield. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
34 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Snuka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zane Mason!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snuka takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Snuka tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mason was well out of range. Poor timing from Snuka.
Snuka blocks a head kick by Mason.
Snuka throws a head kick but Mason moves out of range.
Jimmy Snuka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mason staying out of range there.
Snuka lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mason at a distance.
Mason throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Snuka counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mason won't be happy with that.
Snuka throws a strike aimed at the side of Mason's head but Mason avoids it well.
Snuka wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mason keeps working.
Snuka has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Snuka postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Snuka tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Snuka has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Snuka wants to take a breather but Mason manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Snuka.

Snuka thows a huge punch but Mason dodges it nicely.
Snuka is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mason sees it coming and defends easily.
Snuka looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Snuka takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Mason is trying to control but can't.
Snuka lands with a punch from half guard.
Snuka thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mason's head.
Mason really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Snuka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Snuka thows a huge punch but Mason dodges it nicely.
Snuka tries to pass to full mount but Mason defends it.
Snuka sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mason defending well though.

Mason is trying to get back to full guard.
Snuka moves into full mount! Mason won't be happy about that!
Snuka misses with a head shot.
Mason is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snuka throwing strikes here but Mason is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Snuka raining down hammerfists from mount.
Mason holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Snuka tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Snuka lands a nice shot to the head.

Snuka looking to control but Mason is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Snuka wants to control the pace but Mason is squirming around nicely.

Mason tries to lock up and control but Snuka gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Snuka cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Snuka dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Snuka closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mason's guard.
Snuka wants to control from the top but Mason keeps moving.
Snuka cracks Mason with a solid left hand.
Snuka pushes down on Mason's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Snuka is working for a submission of some sort.
Snuka wants to take a breather but Mason is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snuka has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Snuka scoring with strikes but Mason is staying in there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Snuka looking to control but Mason is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Mason holds on to Snuka as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
Snuka misses with a head shot.
Snuka working for a submission but Mason is keeping him at bay.
BOOM! Snuka connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Mason avoids a strike by Snuka and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Snuka's guard! Fantastic escape!
Mason postures up.

Snuka trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Snuka can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mason controls the pace.
Snuka has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Mason doesn't defend quickly enough and Snuka has managed to lock this one up! Can Mason escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Snuka on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jimmy Snuka!
Jimmy Snuka very nearly forgot to thank Notorious Clothing Co. amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
