Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Mironov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patton's entrance music is Keep your hands to yourself- Georgia Satellites. A fine choice. Mironov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Down by Law - by Madball kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patton connects with a right hand. Mironov shakes it off.
Patton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mironov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've been told by Patton's head coaches at Rape Academy (7 elite, 6 2x elite) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Patton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mironov lands a head kick!

It looks like George Patton has been cut.
A slow jab from Patton misses its intended target.
Patton swings for the body but Mironov moves out of range.
Patton misses with a hook. Mironov ducked under it nicely.
Patton throws a right and a left that both miss.
Patton misses with a straight right.
Patton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mironov manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Patton throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A countering left hand to the body from Mironov misses.
Patton scores with a hook to the body. Mironov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Mironov shoots in and gets a takedown into Patton's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Patton is looking to stand back up but Mironov counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Patton.

Mironov lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Patton is refusing to be controlled, as Mironov sits in half guard.
Mironov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Patton is trying to stand up here but Mironov is controlling him well.
Mironov is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Patton is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Mironov cracks Patton with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

A very excited looking Sergei Mironov made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
George Patton was interviewed post fight and said 'I'd like to thank my opponent, and apologize to the fans.'.
