The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stalin throws a right and a left that both miss.
Abdullah takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Abdullah shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stalin as he jumps to the side.
Abdullah slips a jab and a cross from Stalin.
Joseph Stalin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stalin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Abdullah dodges the punch combination from Stalin.
Stalin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Stalin throws an overhand right that lands on Abdullah's shoulder, as Abdullah tries to avoid the shot.
Stalin moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromAbdullah.
Stalin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Abdullah moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Abdullah fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stalin avoids it really well and circles away.
Joseph Stalin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Assad Abdullah.

Stalin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Stalin sets himself, and Abdullah steps forward looking for the clinch! Stalin avoids it this time.
Stalin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Abdullah feints and as Stalin raises his hands in defense, Abdullah changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Stalin wants to stand and escape but Abdullah is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stalin is breathing heavily.
Abdullah is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Abdullah thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Abdullah wants to control from the top but Stalin keeps moving.

Abdullah drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Stalin dives on top into guard.

Abdullah is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Stalin has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Abdullah to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Stalin is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Abdullah pulls down on the head and he's put Stalin to sleep! This one is all over!
