Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kona Bud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Anthony Ramirez!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez misses with a straight right.
Ramirez looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Ramirez tries a head kick but it misses.
Ramirez takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Bud takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Bud throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ramirez throws a leg kick but Bud sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Bud blocks a low kick nicely.
Ramirez takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ramirez misses with a hook. Bud ducked under it nicely.
Bud misses with a head kick.
Ramirez will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Ramirez misses with a head kick.
Bud is looking for a counter combo.
Ramirez takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Ramirez throws a half hearted mid kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Bud.
Bud keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ramirez.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ramirez on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bud. Bud obviously looking to wear him down.
Bud lands a leg kick that knocks Ramirez off balance momentarily.
Bud fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ramirez.
Bud throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Anthony Ramirez has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bud scores with a head kick.
Bud lands a big head kick that sends Ramirez tumbling to the mat! Bud takes a step backwards and waves Ramirez back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Ramirez is rocked!
Bud tries a head kick but it misses.
Ramirez gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Bud gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Ramirez is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kona Bud!
A relieved looking Kona Bud thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
