Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Kramer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Justin Kennedy told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Kramer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justin Kennedy ! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kennedy fails to land the takedown. Kennedy moves into the clinch. Kennedy pulls guard. Kennedy has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Kramer is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Kennedy has Kramer pressed against the cage, preventing Kramer from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Kramer tries to break the clinch but Kennedy is controlling the position. Kennedy has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kramer is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Kramer struggles to land a body shot inside as Kennedy controls his hands.
Kennedy is trying to trip Kramer. He has hold of a leg but Kramer is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kennedy persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Kramer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kennedy on the ground. Kramer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kramer can't keep his opponent in guard - Kennedy advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kennedy is controlling the pace.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kennedy connects with a nice short shot to Kramer's temple.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kennedy winds up and cracks Kramer with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Kramer trying to control from the bottom.
Kramer tries to roll over but Kennedy keeps him under control. Kramer is trying to control but can't.
Kennedy wants to free his trapped foot but Kramer is holding on for dear life with his legs. Kramer is trying to get back to full guard. Kennedy perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Kramer trying to control here.
Kramer is looking for a sweep. Kennedy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kennedy trying to control the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kramer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kennedy is working away from the top position though. Kramer looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Kennedy controlling the pace. Ground and pound from Kennedy . Kramer tries to get to full guard but Kennedy has control of the leg. Kennedy performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Kramer trying to get back to full guard but Kennedy takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Kennedy with shots to the head and body - Kramer looks very uncomfortable down there. Kramer really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Kramer tries to lock up and control but Kennedy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kennedy controlling the position easily from mount. Kramer is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kennedy working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Kramer looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Kennedy ! Submission of the night perhaps?
