Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Beltran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Pedan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Beltran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Pedan! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beltran scores with the left hand. Pedan knows he should have avoided that one. A looping hook to the body misses from Pedan. Beltran does a little dance to reset his feet. Pedan misses with an uppercut. Beltran misses with a body shot.
Alexander Pedan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Beltran looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Beltran connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Pedan doesn't manage to clinch there - Beltran circles away.

It looks like Carlos Beltran has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pedan wants to pass the guard but Beltran is keeping the position. Oh Beltran is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Pedan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Pedan forces Beltran back against the cage and clinches. Beltran seems to have got his legs back now. Beltran misses with a hook from the clinch. Pedan swings wildly with an uppercut but Beltran uses good head movement to avoid it.

Beltran makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Pedan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A kick lands to the mid section there for Beltran. Beltran throws a shot to the body.
Beltran misses with a straight right. A solid leg kick lands there for Beltran.
Beltran misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pedan.
Pedan misses the jab. Beltran was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Pedan lands a nice leg kick that just misses Beltran's sensitive parts. Pedan throws a nice looking combination but Beltran bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Beltran lands a jab to Pedan's midsection. Pedan misses with a body shot.
Pedan missing with a left hand there. Beltran was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Pedan throws a predictable looking body shot
and Beltran counters with an outside leg kick.
Beltran looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pedan moves into the clinch.

A short right from Pedan. Pedan looks to throw an elbow but misses. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Beltran as Pedan tries to tie him up. Pedan misses with a body punch.
Beltran throws a head punch that misses. A nice right hand lands inside from Beltran. Pedan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Beltran scores with a sloppy right hand. Pedan should have avoided that one. Beltran displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pedan throws out the jab. Beltran thuds his right hand into Pedan's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Beltran uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pedan. Beltran throws the kick towards the body but Pedan avoids it. Beltran lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Pedan is rocked! Pedan tries to close the distance and clinch but Beltran swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pedan is still on wobbly legs! Can Beltran finish him? Pedan tries to move into range but Beltran moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Beltran fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Pedan to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Pedan looks to clinch but Beltran throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Pedan taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Carlos Beltran! A less than humble Carlos Beltran misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
