The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O'Neil fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. O'Neil takes a swing at Bengtsson's ribcage but misses. Bengtsson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Cian O'Neil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. O'Neil tries to clinch up but Bengtsson circles away and keeps his distance. Bengtsson misses with an uppercut. O'Neil saw that one coming. O'Neil swings for the body but Bengtsson moves out of range.
Bengtsson has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as O'Neil is landing a low percentage of strikes. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bengtsson, as that shot connected.
Bengtsson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Good exchange - O'Neil coming out on top. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. O'Neil throws a low kick but it's checked well by Bengtsson. It seemed like Bengtsson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Bengtsson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. O'Neil throws a leg kick and O'Neil takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bengtsson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. O'Neil sees it coming and avoids it easily. O'Neil tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bengtsson swats him away and circles back towards the center. O'Neil swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bengtsson looks like he wants to counter punch here. Bengtsson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Bengtsson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. O'Neil lands a jab. O'Neil has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Forest Hill Gym in the buildup to the fight. O'Neil throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Bengtsson to counter with a crisp jab. O'Neil throws an overhand right that lands on Bengtsson's shoulder, as Bengtsson tries to avoid the shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O'Neil loads up on a big right hand but Bengtsson slips the punch. Bengtsson throws out a counter right but O'Neil avoids it with no problem. O'Neil stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. A shot to the liver by O'Neil. Beautiful body shot. Bengtsson misses with a body punch
and O'Neil counters with a straight right hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. O'Neil wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. O'Neil ducks under a wild hook from Bengtsson. Bengtsson cracks O'Neil with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Bengtsson throws a body shot but no joy. O'Neil wants to clinch but Bengtsson slips to the side and Bengtsson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Bengtsson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. O'Neil is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. O'Neil throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A cross from O'Neil lands. Bengtsson takes a body punch but keeps moving. O'Neil throws a predictable looking body shot
letting Bengtsson counter with a right hand.
O'Neil is rocked! O'Neil rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bengtsson counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bertil Bengtsson! Bertil Bengtsson is the new welterweight champion! Bertil Bengtsson really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Sin City Allstars logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty. Cian O'Neil was interviewed post fight and said 'Christ, that was tiring. I don't get paid enough for this shite though. Time to get pissed.'.
