Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gregor McConor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Larsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McConor might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Notorious B.I.G. - Notorious B.I.G.. Larsen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Lorde – Yellow Flicker Beat. Gregor McConor has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregor McConor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Larsen! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McConor takes a swing at Larsen's ribcage but misses. McConor has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. McConor goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Jake Larsen has been cut. Larsen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Larsen is rocked! McConor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Larsen manages to avoid it. Larsen is still on wobbly legs! Can McConor finish him? Larsen moves out of range as McConor strikes. Larsen avoids the body shot from McConor.
Larsen seems to have recovered his senses. McConor just misses with a punch to the body.
McConor lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McConor. McConor looks to land a left hand but Larsen moved out of range nicely. A slow jab from McConor misses its intended target. Gregor McConor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McConor cracks a nice hook into Larsen's ribs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Larsen feints and as McConor raises his hands in defense, Larsen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Larsen drops back looking for a leg! McConor is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McConor manages to kick Larsen off! Larsen jumps back into McConor's guard. McConor can't keep his opponent in guard - Larsen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. McConor is concentrating on defense, preventing Larsen from advancing position. Larsen passes the guard and advances to mount! Larsen looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Larsen is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but McConor is surviving well by controlling Larsen's body position as best he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Larsen goes for an armbar but McConor turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from McConor. Larsen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

McConor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Larsen on the ground. McConor wants to control from the top but Larsen keeps moving. Larsen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McConor gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McConor's corner is telling him to maintain position. Larsen has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but McConor has passed into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Larsen manages to regain half guard. Good work. Larsen is trying to get back to full guard. Larsen trying to hold on to McConor's head to control him but McConor postures up.
Larsen is looking for a sweep. McConor is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. McConor escapes and gets back to his feet. Larsen fails with a takedown attempt. McConor dips to his left and cracks Larsen with an uppercut! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gregor McConor dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jake Larsen's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Larsen throws a jab when McConor was well out of range. McConor scores with a decent looking hook. A punch combination from Larsen misses. Larsen moves away from the strike by McConor. McConor throws a jab when Larsen was well out of range. McConor throws an overhand right that lands on Larsen's shoulder, as Larsen tries to avoid the shot. McConor throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Larsen sees it coming and avoids it easily. Larsen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McConor as he jumps to the side. Gregor McConor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Larsen. Larsen's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! McConor misses with a body punch.
Larsen tightens his grip and picks McConor up, before dumping him to the ground. McConor manages to land in guard. Larsen passes easily into side control. Nice work. Larsen working away. Larsen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McConor is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Larsen goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, McConor rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Larsen's guard! Nice work there by McConor! McConor avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Larsen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McConor gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. McConor looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Larsen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Larsen is looking for a triangle but McConor pushes his legs off easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Larsen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McConor defends well. McConor slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Larsen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McConor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Larsen working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because McConor has passed into half guard!
McConor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Larsen can do to turn this around? Larsen tries to roll over but McConor keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Larsen looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Larsen trying to get back to full guard but McConor takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! McConor trying to control but he's not successful this time. McConor sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Larsen slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Gregor McConor will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jake Larsen's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Larsen moves away from the strike by McConor. Larsen shoots in looking for a takedown. McConor tries to sprawl out of it but Larsen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McConor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Larsen slips under a jab. Larsen slips under a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Larsen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McConor's waist but McConor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Larsen off to one side. McConor cracks Larsen with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. McConor scores with a jab to the body. McConor misses with a hook.

and Larsen counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Larsen. Larsen drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Larsen seems to have locked his on tight now - McConor screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Larsen, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Jake Larsen! Jake Larsen spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
