Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Erek Oberdorf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazushi Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oberdorf comes to the cage accompanied by Remedy. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nakamura avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Oberdorf throws a right and a left that Nakamura avoids nicely. Oberdorf fails to land with a series of punches.
Nakamura closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Nakamura lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Nakamura drops an elbow to the side of Oberdorf's head. Oberdorf could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Oberdorf looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nakamura working the head and body with strikes. Oberdorf tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Nakamura manages to move to mount!
Nakamura with a couple of short strikes. Nakamura is landing with some decent strikes but Oberdorf is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Oberdorf bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Nakamura manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Oberdorf regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nakamura lands a nice short elbow. Nice strikes from Nakamura there. Oberdorf knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nakamura on the ground. Nakamura wants to work for an arm triangle but Oberdorf is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Nakamura has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Oberdorf is trying to get back to full guard. Nakamura looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Oberdorf with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Nakamura wants to lay and pray for a moment but Oberdorf keeps working. Nakamura is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Nakamura seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Oberdorf pushes Nakamura off looking to stand but Nakamura dives back in and keeps control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Nakamura prevents Oberdorf from improving his position. Oberdorf looking for submissions off his back. Oberdorf is breathing heavily. Nakamura scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nakamura fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Oberdorf misses with a wild combination.
Oberdorf throws a right hand that Nakamura ducks under and follows up with a left that Nakamura also avoids with ease.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A jab from Oberdorf misses. A combination from Oberdorf does no damage. A jab from Oberdorf misses. Oberdorf misses with a wild combination.
A punch combination from Oberdorf misses. Nakamura scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Nakamura bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Oberdorf tries to bench press Nakamura off him but Nakamura keeps the position. Nakamura working the head with strikes. Oberdorf might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Nakamura is looking to take a break and control but Oberdorf is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nakamura in side control lands a decent elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nakamura lands a decent elbow from side control. Oberdorf gets back to half guard. Oberdorf wants to get back to his feet. Nakamura is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Nakamura is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Oberdorf has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Oberdorf tries to buck Nakamura off but he can't manage it. Nakamura unloading with bombs! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kazushi Nakamura dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Oberdorf misses with a double jab
and Nakamura counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Oberdorf's guard now. Nakamura is in close to Oberdorf's body, working some short punches and elbows. Nakamura postures up in Oberdorf's guard and throws a big left but Oberdorf blocks it. Nakamura avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Nakamura trying to control the position from guard on top but Oberdorf is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nakamura working some strikes from top position. Oberdorf looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kazushi Nakamura has got the better of the ground game so far. Oberdorf is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nakamura works over Oberdorf with some ground and pound from guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Nakamura throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Oberdorf swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Nakamura counters with a nice double leg into guard. Nakamura advances to half guard. Oberdorf is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Nakamura scores with a couple of nice shots. Oberdorf is trying to stand back up but Nakamura is controlling him
Nakamura is nestled in close to Oberdorf, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Nakamura is figuring out what he wants to do next. Oberdorf is trying to stand.

Nakamura seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Oberdorf is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
