Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Dahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrej Madai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dahl drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Madai stops Dahl from passing to mount. Dahl working away. Dahl is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Madai knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Madai manages to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Madai trying to control here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dahl seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Madai does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Madai is looking to control Dahl's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Madai avoid being mounted? Madai on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Madai flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Madai is pressing down on Dahl's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Dahl prevents Madai from getting back to his feet. Dahl avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Madai bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dahl's guard. Dahl is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dahl is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dahl controlling Madai's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dahl is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Dahl pulls Madai in close to prevent any damage.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Madai closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dahl did well to prevent Madai getting side control. Dahl keeping hold of Madai's head, controlling as best he can. Madai trying to control the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Madai is trying to control the action in half guard but Dahl is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Dahl looking for submissions off his back. Dahl knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Madai on the ground. Nice strikes from Madai there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Madai missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Madai is keen to just control but Dahl is a slippery customer. Dahl is trying to control but can't.

Dahl will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A little jabbing left from Madai on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Madai clinches up with Dahl and pushes him back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dahl tries to break free but Madai pushes him back against the cage. Madai pulls guard effortlessly. Madai is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Madai wants to stand but Dahl has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Madai is trying to control. Dahl wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Madai throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Madai trying to control the action but Dahl is working from the bottom. Madai wants to stand up but Dahl is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dahl is trying to get back to full guard. Madai looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Madai wants to take a breather but Dahl is having none of it. Madai works his way into full mount! Dahl wants to hold on but Madai pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andrej Madai has got the better of the ground game so far. Madai looking to control but Dahl is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Dahl working to try and regain half guard.

Dahl is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Madai lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Madai throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Madai is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Dahl has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Madai has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Dahl taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Madai doesn't care though - he's delighted!
