PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vaas Haas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huey Manley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haas comes into the arena with Małpa - Sztorm blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Vaas Haas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Huey Manley!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haas goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Haas lands a nice leg kick that just misses Manley's sensitive parts.
Manley closes the distance and clinches up with Haas, looking for a takedown. Manley pushes Haas against the cage but Haas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Manley fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Haas has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Manley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Haas swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Manley connects with a high kick.
Nice shot lands for Haas.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Manley sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

That was a close round but I would say that Vaas Haas will probably get the nod.

Haas lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
