Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Steel Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jeff Halloway!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halloway tries to clinch there but Penn circles away.

Halloway clinches with his opponent.
A right hook to the body lands for Penn.

Halloway lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Penn wants to stand back up but Halloway manages to pass into side control.
Halloway controls the position.

Halloway tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Halloway has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Halloway controls the position from side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Halloway prevents Penn from escaping the position.
Penn seems a little lost for a moment, as Halloway dominates the positioning.
Penn is trying to buck Halloway off.
Penn trying to remain calm as Halloway controls from the top position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Halloway passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Penn!
Halloway sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Penn is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Halloway looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Halloway looking to control and managing it successfully.
Halloway's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Penn trying desperately to get to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Halloway controlling from the full mount.
Halloway sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Halloway controlling his opponent.
Penn is in a horrible position here. Halloway smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Halloway is looking to work his way around to Penn's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jeff Halloway dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Halloway with a poor takedown
and Penn counters with a thumping low kick.

Penn drops Halloway with a beautiful combination! Halloway stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Penn is looking for the KO!


It looks like Jeff Halloway has been cut.
Halloway shoots in looking for a takedown but Penn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Halloway's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Penn changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Penn clinches up against the cage.
Halloway has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Penn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Steel Penn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Halloway.
Penn lands with a right to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Penn lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Penn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Halloway misses with a combination
and Penn counters with a huge left! Halloway is in big trouble! He's backing up but Penn isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Halloway from any more damage. A dominating finish by Penn!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steel Penn!
During a confident post fight interview, Steel Penn thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
