Oaken misses with a takedown attempt - Veiwus sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Oaken tries to bum rush Veiwus with a series of wild strikes but Veiwus uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The fight stays on the outside here - Oaken looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Veiwus changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Oaken looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Veiwus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Oaken. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Oaken is refusing to be controlled, as Veiwus sits in half guard.
Veiwus slows the pace down in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Veiwus drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Oaken manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Veiwus has Oaken in his guard.

Veiwus had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Oaken is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Veiwus Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Oaken's back instead.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Promos Veiwus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Despite being in the dominant position, Promos Veiwus just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Veiwus moves in looking to clinch but Oaken pushes him off.
Promos Veiwus is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Veiwus closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Promos Veiwus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
