Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Sloan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arne Kjolby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kjolby's choice of entrance music: Killing in the name of.... Arne Kjolby told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arne Kjolby!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloan leaves Kjolby with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kjolby fails to land the takedown.
Sloan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Sloan throws a head kick but Kjolby moves out of range.
Kjolby dives in for a single leg takedown but Sloan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sloan enables Kjolby to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sloan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sloan wants to stand and escape but Kjolby is having none of it.

Kjolby changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sloan tries to avoid it but Kjolby manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sloan to the ground. Sloan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kjolby is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kjolby tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sloan swivels and escapes.

Sloan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kjolbys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sloan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kjolby will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kjolby's coach down at Kattegat was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kjolby's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Sloan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kjolby can do to turn this around?
