Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Frankie Drake and Bastyn Dall. Drake's entrance music is AC/DC - Hell's Bells. A fine choice. Dall has chosen Beast as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 2 losses; Frankie Drake! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Bastyn Dall! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Dall will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Drake slaps away a takedown attempt from Dall, before circling back to the center of the mat. Drake forces Dall back against the cage and clinches. We've been hearing reports that Drake has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Dall jumps guard but Drake turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Frankie Drake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bastyn Dall. Drake works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Drake (2) vs (0) Dall Dall keeping full guard, as Drake tries to pass. Dall has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Drake doesn't defend quickly enough and Dall has managed to lock this one up! Can Drake escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Dall on a fantastic submission victory.
