Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Alan Fadzaev and Rick Muse. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Alan Fadzaev! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Rick Muse! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Fadzaev moves into the clinch. Muse jumps guard but Fadzaev turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Muse jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fadzaev walks away with a smile on his face. Muse gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Fadzaev forces Muse back against the cage and clinches. Muse jumps into guard, dragging Fadzaev to the mat.
Fadzaev not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Fadzaev has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Fadzaev passes Muse's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Fadzaev controlling the action here. Fadzaev seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Muse for as long as he can get away with. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fadzaev is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Fadzaev seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Fadzaev wants to pass the guard but Muse is defending well. Fadzaev slows the pace down in half guard.

Muse has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fadzaev is working away from the top position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fadzaev looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Fadzaev trying to control the pace. Fadzaev uses his free foot to push down on Muse's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Muse. Score +3 for passing guard: Fadzaev (3) vs (0) Muse
That's four minutes gone in the round. Muse tries to reverse the position but Fadzaev maintains control. Fadzaev controlling from mount. Fadzaev pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Muse keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Fadzaev tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Fadzaev seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fadzaev is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Fadzaev is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Muse won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Fadzaev off his unconscious opponent!
