Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keith Elliott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jones might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Jonny Jones Mix. Keith Elliott has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonny Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Keith Elliott!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Roberts and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elliott lands with a shot to the body.
Jones tries to land a leg kick but Elliott saw it coming and moves away.
A low kick from Jones is predictable there

and Elliott counters by clinching up.

Elliott successfully pulls guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Elliott is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jones is aware though and is defending well.
Jones trying to control but Elliott is working from the bottom.
Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones slips nicely into half guard.
Jones prevents Elliott from improving his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Elliott kicks Jones off and gets back to his feet.

Elliott drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Elliott is working Jones over with some ground and pound from side control.

A lull in the action here as Elliott stalls from top position.
Jones is looking to regain half guard here but Elliott keeps moving and retains side control.
Jones has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Elliott tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Elliott has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Elliott has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Elliott drives through with a takedown into Jones's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Jones throws his legs up looking for a submission but Elliott uses it to pass to side control.
Jones regains half guard.
Jones wants to control but Elliott is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Elliott is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Elliott stands up and beckons Jones to join him on the feet.
Elliott displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Jones throws a leg kick but Elliott sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Elliott darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones tries to get to full guard but Elliott has control of the leg.

Jones looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Elliott thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head.
Jones is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Elliott keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Elliott thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Elliott in particular looking to stall.
Elliott thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Elliott stands up and beckons Jones to join him on the feet.
Sloppy strikes from Elliott. Those never looked like landing.
Elliott lands a head shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keith Elliott dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Elliott uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jones.
Jones fakes the leg kick and cracks Elliott in the body.
Jones pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Elliott is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Oooooh!!! Elliott has knocked Jones down with a huge combo! Elliott steps away and waves a wobbly Jones back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Jones throws the kick towards the body but Elliott avoids it.
Elliott avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Elliott looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Elliott fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Elliott has had enough of the clinch but Jones keeps him there for the moment.
Jones is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Elliott to keep the fight standing.
Jones tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Elliott just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jones tries to pull guard but Elliott forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonny Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Elliott blocks an elbow strike from Jones.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Elliott walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jones lands a nice looking kick to the body. Elliott takes a step back to recover.
Jonny Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jones tries to clinch but Elliott moves out of range.
Elliott lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Elliott throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Jones colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Elliott as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Jones is left battered and dazed whilst Elliott and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Keith Elliott!
