Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kotch Chicodemarco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose De La Hoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Chicodemarco might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sadie Hawkins. Kotch Chicodemarco could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jose De La Hoya's chin.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chicodemarco misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
De La Hoya has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and De La Hoya counters with a thumping low kick.

It looks like Kotch Chicodemarco has been cut.
Chicodemarco closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De La Hoya pushes Chicodemarco off looking to stand but Chicodemarco dives back in and keeps control.

and De La Hoya counters with a good low kick that Chicodemarco was not able to check.
Chicodemarco is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kotch Chicodemarco. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and De La Hoya makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Chicodemarco really felt that one!

De La Hoya throws a nice inside leg kick.

De La Hoya lands with an uppercut that bounces Chicodemarco off the ropes and back into range.
Kotch Chicodemarco's cut is getting worse.
Chicodemarco manages to get an easy takedown there - catching De La Hoya on his heels. He'll look to pass De La Hoya's guard now, I'm sure.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
De La Hoya is looking to stand up but Chicodemarco isn't so interested in that idea.
De La Hoya really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chicodemarco. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
