Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Djamel Hammouche!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Steve Austin!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Steve Austin has been cut.
Austin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hammouche swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hammouche feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hammouche is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Austin can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hammouche passes into half guard.

Hammouche landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Austin has hold of Hammouche's hands but Hammouche slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The cut above Steve Austin's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Hammouche seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Austin is rocked!
Steve Austin's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Steve Austin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Djamel Hammouche!
