Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Jack Burton and Bastyn Dall. Dall has chosen Beast as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Jack Burton! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 1 losses; Bastyn Dall! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Dall fails with the takedown. Burton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dall to the mat! Dall manages to get full guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Burton (2) vs (0) Dall We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Burton trying to control but Dall is working from the bottom. Dall working a defensive guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dall is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Burton defends well.

Dall slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Burton engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Dall doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dall manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Burton not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Dall might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Burton haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Burton regains half guard. Dall wants to free his trapped foot but Burton is holding on for dear life with his legs. Burton is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dall's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dall's back! Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Burton (12) vs (8) Dall
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Dall breaks Burton's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Dall controls from within his opponent's guard. Dall wants to control from the top but Burton keeps moving. Dall stopping the sweep attempt from Burton. Dall tries to free his leg and advance position but Burton is retaining full guard. Burton is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dall got a little sloppy there for a moment and Burton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dall has managed to get both his arms back between Burton's legs - danger averted.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Burton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dall is sitting in close to Burton's body. Burton has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Dall is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Dall is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Burton.
