Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Milton Cooper and Domagoj Glavas. Milton Cooper has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Milton Cooper! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 2 losses; Domagoj Glavas! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Phil Schofield.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Glavas moves into range and clinches up with Cooper. Glavas jumps guard but Cooper turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Cooper is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Glavas to keep the fight standing. Glavas has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cooper uses from the top position. Glavas looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Cooper is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Glavas is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cooper is aware though and is defending well. Glavas is looking for a triangle but Cooper pushes his legs off easily.
Glavas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cooper doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cooper manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Cooper knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Glavas on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Glavas is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cooper is aware though and is defending well. Cooper slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Glavas looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Glavas is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cooper defends well. Glavas can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cooper controls the pace. Cooper got a little sloppy there for a moment and Glavas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cooper has managed to get both his arms back between Glavas's legs - danger averted. Glavas looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Cooper stays in close to Glavas's body and controls the position. Cooper is posturing up here but Glavas has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Cooper tries to roll out but it's too tight and Cooper has to tap! Slick submission there by Glavas!
