Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Brij Khali and Mr Grapple. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 3 losses; Brij Khali! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Mr Grapple!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Sam Margolis.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Grapple closes the distance and clinches.

Grapple gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Grapple is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Khali still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Khali has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Khali is staying tight to Grapple's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Grapple looks to move to half guard but instead Khali has passed into mount! Damn!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grapple has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Khali is working away from the top position though.

Khali seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Grapple for as long as he can get away with.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Grapple tries to roll over but Khali keeps him under control.
Khali looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Khali takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Grapple has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Khali is working away from the top position though.

Grapple is looking for a sweep. Khali is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Grapple manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Grapple is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Khali's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Khali's back!

Grapple is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Khali defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Grapple working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Khali doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Khali manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Grapple is trying to control but can't.
Grapple wants to improve his position but Khali is controlling well.

Grapple is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Khali pulls his head out easily.

Grapple is looking to control Khali's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Grapple avoid being mounted?
