Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tal Gator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fernandez is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Eagles - Hotel Calafornia. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tal Gator! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Miguel Fernandez! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gator is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fernandez sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Gator looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Fernandez fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gator. Gator gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fernandez to score an easy takedown into full guard. Gator looking for a sweep. Not yet Gator, not yet. Fernandez is working Gator over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fernandez controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Fernandez landing with the ground and pound. Fernandez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Let's hope that Fernandez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Fernandez with a nice head shot there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fernandez controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Fernandez connects with a couple of short punches. Fernandez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Gator tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gator looking to control.
Gator wants to sweep here but Fernandez controlling him for the moment. Gator being controlled here, momentarily. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Fernandez's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Fernandez postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Fernandez lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Gator is rocked! Fernandez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Gator is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fernandez controlling the position from side mount. Fernandez working the ground and pound from side control. Fernandez scores with a couple of short elbows. Oh Gator is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Fernandez lands a strong strike to the head of Gator. That's dazed him! Fernandez looking to finish here. Gator is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Fernandez lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Miguel Fernandez! Post fight, Miguel Fernandez stared into the camera and said 'Hey guys, that's it now. I'm done. It's been a helluva run but it's time to hang up the gloves. Thank you.'.
