Dicks with a lazy takedown attempt
and Mendez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Mendez.
Mendez turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mendez manages to end up in side control.
Mendez connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Dicks some visible discomfort.
